Job Summary

Line Cooks at The Quarters are responsible for preparing all the items on the food menu, and ensuring this is done in a timely and consistent manner. The position schedule includes substantial evening and weekend hours and occasional holidays. Must be able to work cooperatively in high stress situations.  3+ years experience cooking in fast-paced environments and a solid grasp of culinary techniques and food science is preferred. Job Information

Responsibilities include:

Food Preparation: Preparing, cooking, and serving a wide range of foods quickly and efficiently. Working safely around kitchen equipment and reporting any maintenance issues to the Kitchen Manager.

Menu Development: Providing input & assistance to the Kitchen Manager in the development of a diverse & evolving menu of food items.

Limited Customer Service: Interacting with patrons; taking food & drink orders; collecting cash, processing credit cards; and maintaining calm under pressure while working cooperatively with other staff to provide patrons a consistently enjoyable experience.

Equipment and Facilities: Assisting with the cleaning and maintenance of facilities and equipment, including dishwashing, HVAC units, walk in cooler and cooking, prep and storage areas; keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy, at all times.

Attitude:  Must be engaged and enthusiastic about working in a dynamic workplace; The Quarters services a wide range of people from families on the bike path to the weekend arcade crowd and you must be comfortable working with all types of people.  Must have experience and comfort interacting with the public and working alongside other staff, to ensure we’re providing a first class experience for our clientele from top to bottom.
